I get it, life gets busy and things don't always go as planned. We get caught up in work, duties, and keeping food in the fridge (because every parent I know has a kid eating them out of house and home this summer). Oh, and let's not forget staying sane, because "I'm bored" quickly becomes the summer long mantra.
We don't always have the chance to research fun things to do with them, but hey guys, it's the effort that counts. So, I'm keeping my promise and delivering you five new activities to enjoy with your family this month. Most of these require little to no effort, just a huge imagination and lots of optimism.
Camp in the backyard. Teach the kids how to build their own tent, grab a lantern and a few flashlights as well. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even go all out with a campfire using a pit, s'mores, bbq, and roasted hotdogs too!
View fireworks at the "Red, Hot, and Blue” Festival in The Woodlands, Tx.
Visit The Woodlands Children’s Museum. The museum has lots of activities like arts and crafts, for children to enjoy (and sometimes animals too!).
See a summer concert series at Heritage or Town Green Park. View more details about the lineup and dates here.
Enjoy storytime at Pottery Barn each Tuesday at 11am. Your local Pottery Barn offers story time for toddlers and small children each Tuesday at 11am. There are two Pottery Barn locations you may choose from: The Woodlands, TX Mall location and the Conroe TX, Highway 105 location.
I hope you enjoyed reading this month's five family friendly activities to enjoy.
